8 Personal Growth Books to Prepare for 2013

by admin on 12/26/2012

In the spirit of wrapping up the holidays (anyone else as tired as I am??) and looking forward to 2013, I thought I’d put together a list of 8 personal growth books that have really shaped my philosophy on life and how I live my day to day.

It was hard to pick only 8 but I believe that less is more. In terms of which to read first and why?

My advice is to pick up the one that speaks to you today. They each hold their own meaning and at different times mean different things to you.

1. The Alchemist

2. Way of the Peaceful Warrior

3. The Untethered Soul

4. Journey of Souls (This one is the most “out there” but also was the most influential book of any of them for me.)

5. Seat of the Soul

6. The Book of Secrets

7. Dying to Be Me

8. Wishes Fulfilled

Another great resource for you is Philosopher’s Notes which is a Cliff Notes version of the top 100 personal growth books of all time. It is amazing!! If you have an e-reader you can read them on all on your kindle or iPad.

Which ones would you recommend? Have you read any of these?

What great suggestions! The Alchemist has been on my “to-read” list for years. And I just started The Untethered Soul – I will let you know what I think!
If I could add one book, it would be The Prophet, by Khalil Gibran. It really shaped my life philosophy!

Thank you, Sarah! I have The Prophet on my bookshelf but have not picked it up in years! Will do that now.
